Hi guys
I'm selling this item on eBay for a Big Issue seller.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6569303477&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

Can you please do what you can to promote it so we can get him and his charities some decent cash.
Cheers guys

I'm quite an experienced seller on eBay and I hate to say it but I can't see it selling...the names aren't big enough who signed it to justify the steep opening price. I hate to sound pesemistic - but the chances of that selling are remote (considering the magazine has no relation to the autographs at all) and the autographs aren't related to each other - you would be lucky to get £10/£20 tops for that.

Perhaps a lower starting price and a mention of Charity Auction in the title might encourage bidders to bid for it...

I will fully apologize if it does sell - let's just say I wouldn't pay that amount of money for 12 random signatures from obscure actors on a worthless magazine...

Good luck with it and I really hope it does sell - but if it doesn't i do hope you'll take my advice...It is a rare item but I can't imagine there being a market for it...

Edit:

Just seen those postage costs - that is ridiculous - Special Delivery for that magazine and the poster/photographs would be £6 tops...even then that is steep...Recorded delivery would be much more apt and would come to only £2.50.

A high postage price scares off potential bidders.

Thanks for your opinion.
This is just my little trader account, I'm a powerseller Very Happy
And we have an offer of £200 if it doesn't sell on eBay from an autograph trader - he seemed to think it'll go for more, who knows it's ebay after all, nothing is certain.

If your a powerseller, why don't you know how to price postage correctly? No. 1 rule is keep it fair!!

Either way - I'd bite that autograph trader's hand off - no way that'll raise £200 on eBay...

(Just my opinion obviously.)

As this is clearly descending into a pathetic slanging match this will be my last comment on the subject. The auction is for 1. big issue shipped in a plastic box for postage protection and some photographs and a poster in a cardboard tube.

Weight - 1.3 kgs
Royal Mail Special Delivery price for up to 2kgs with compensation = £7.40
My packaging costs = 2.75

Total = £10.15

Postage charged - £10.00

You're right it isn't fair Razz

Why is it turning into a slanging match? I think you've misread what I've been saying!! Evil or Very Mad

I was simply stating for a magazine, photos and a poster It would never cost me £10 to post to mainland Britain!!

Good luck mate, I was simply offering some advice - no need to turn it into an argument - and another thing - People are always weary of new sellers - I would never (and the majority on eBay) would never pay alot of money to someone whos been registered for less than a month - I'd suggest doing it on your powerseller account to give people peace of mind..Plese don't take this as an insult - becuase it isn't I'm simply telling you my point of view, f you don't agree with it then fine, but don't turn it nasty!! Very Happy
